This resource pack includes an exclusive animated version of ‘Ria the Anxious Hermit Crab’ as read by me. You will also receive structured discussion prompts about anxiety and wellbeing and classroom activities that teachers can deliver at a time that suits their timetable.

Classrooms are also encouraged to write down any questions that might pop up for the author and submit them to myself. I will reply as soon as possible.

Storytime Author Visit – Classroom Resource

Format: Teacher-led classroom resource
Suitable for: KS1 or lower KS2

A super flexible classroom resource designed to bring my ‘Storytime’ package to the classroom with my video presentation of ‘Ria the Anxious Hermit Crab.’ Children’s questions for the author can be submitted to me via email and I will respond with answers asap.

The resource includes a recorded author introduction and story content, alongside structured discussion prompts and classroom activities that teachers can deliver at a time that suits their timetable.

Children will:

  • Enjoy a shared video reading of Ria the Anxious Hermit Crab

  • Explore key themes such as kindness, confidence, and emotional wellbeing

  • Take part in guided discussion using prepared questions

  • Reflect on characters, feelings, and story events through simple activities

The resource supports spoken language, listening skills, and reading for pleasure, and is designed to be easy to use with minimal preparation.

Access is provided for a limited time and materials are personalised for the purchasing school.
